Dear Friends of Career Catchers,
Last year, we held our CareerCatchers Tenth Anniversary event. With your support we raised nearly $15,000 and helped our clients get their careers off the ground. In 2017 we worked with 519 clients–up 25% from the previous year. Almost half were returning to us from past years. Of the clients we saw intensively 76% found new or better jobs. The value of the jobs obtained is over $4 million on an annual basis. Some 77% participated in training, and 70% received post job placement support. We are very proud of these accomplishments.
This year we need your help again. Please join us to learn about our expanded Direct Access Services Program. Many new and returning clients request services – Direct Access Services. Often these services are not covered under existing grants or contracts, in which case we ask clients to pay something toward each session. While this is a hardship for our clients, it covers only a fraction of the actual cost. Demand from this source has risen 30% over the past year. Most clients need five sessions to get back on their feet. We would like to raise funds to serve at least 100 hours of Direct Access client sessions over the next twelve months — a total of $10,000. We need your support to fill in the gap.
